Set 42043

Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245

I bought this set when I needed a break from work. Assembling it was a nice weekend project. By the way, this is the largest set I own - 2793 pieces!

Building

The box was really big, for a Lego set. I have to admit that it felt a little bit of embarrassing to carry it out from the store. There were many young boys and it was easy to see how much they would have wanted to be the new owner of this set. I did not dare to say I bought it for myself. Anyway, being able to purchase great toys is one of the good sides of being a grown-up.

The first few plastic bags and instructions book with almost 500 pages to go. The fun is about to begin!

The first couple of steps were not too difficult. Looking good so far. I think I’ll manage this just fine!

The front part chassis of the truck is getting shape.

This set has a brilliant design. Lots of motorized functions, powered with only one motor. The motor uses a pump to generate compressed air, and you can direct its power to different functions using pneumatic and mechanical switches. The designer is a genius.

The chassis is done. The rest is just to make it prettier.

This is going to be a big truck.

All done! Time to get some sleep.
